The December tournament was a quick event, at Game/20 time controls. It was a four round Swiss, and the tournament was over by 1 PM, giving everyone time to continue with their holiday preparations. With such short time controls, score keeping by our players was optional. Therefore we have only one game to show from this tournament. We had only ten players for this event, about what was expected given the time controls. A First place prize of $30 was won by Jon Burgess, a master new to McHenry Area Chess. Second place with a $20 prize went to Martin Wilber, and third place was shared between Matthew Wilber and Phil Jarrette, yielding five dollars each. The one game currently available was a King's Indian between Andrew Wang and Bill Hayes. Check it out by using the link on the left or by clicking here.

Here are a few pictures from this event.

We have been forced to remove the automatic contact form because of an excess of spam, hundreds of emails per day. To prevent this, we are providing a link that will bring up an email form, with our address spoofed by an X in front of our real email address. Simply remove this X to create our real email address, then send it to us. We apologize for the extra effort required, but that's life in the internet age. Send email to McHenry Area Chess
