Presents a rated chess tournament
The McHenry Area Championship Tournament

When:         Saturday, August 21, 2004

Where:       Crystal Lake Park District Building
                   1 E. Crystal Lake Ave.  Crystal Lake, IL 60014

What:         A “Swiss” tournament
                   Four rounds of play            Game/60 time controls 

                 -       Registration:  8:30 – 9:15.  First round begins at 9:30
             Tournament ends by 6:30 PM.

                 -       Entry Fee: $10.  Players must be members of USCF.
             Join the USCF on site and receive a discount.

                -       Prizes:            Prizes include:
            Trophy for McHenry Area Champion, 2^nd and 3^rd
            Trophy for McHenry Area Junior Champion and 2^nd
            Trophy for City Champion of Algonquin, Cary, Crystal Lake,
            Lake in the Hills, McHenry, Lake in the Hills, and Woodstock
            (or near neighbors)
            Traveling trophy for Out of Area Champion
            Scholastic Champions K-2, 2-5, and 6-8
