This month's puzzles are all from the book Creative Chess book, by Amatzia Avni, a FIDE master and professional psychologist. This is an excellent book to get you thinking "outside the box" in your games. The book covers several interesting aspects, and has examples that span all phases of the game. Many of the examples in this book proceed to won games, but the three positions selected for this page are all unexpected draws snatched from the jaws of defeat. We'd like to experiment with making these puzzles more dynamic, like we have for our tournament games. But this page is under construction. Please be patient.
