No Points In Last Round Byes

In another change for our tournaments, we will no longer allow any points to be given for last round byes. Since this round is critical to the allocation of prize money, and is usually the toughest match in the tournaments, in all fairness all players are expected to play for whatever points they may get in the last round.

We will still offer byes in the last round, but they will be zero point byes, as if you withdrew. However, if you know you will not be able to play in the last round before the tournament begins, you may ask for a 25% reduction in your entry fee in exchange for your agreement to remove yourself from the prize pool. If you want a shot at sharing third place, usually the best you will get for three points, there is no discount.

Please note that we also do not give byes for Quad tournaments, as that would force a bye on someone else in your Quad. If you know that you cannot play in all the rounds of a Quad, we ask that you skip that tournament and catch the next one.

We have been forced to remove the automatic contact form because of an excess of spam, hundreds of emails per day. To prevent this, we are providing a link that will bring up an email form, with our address spoofed by an X in front of our real email address. Simply remove this X to create our real email address, then send it to us. We apologize for the extra effort required, but that's life in the internet age.
