New Preregistration Policy We are now allowing optional preregistration by mail. Of course, you may always register on site as well. You may preregister for any event on our schedule. To preregister, mail a check for the entry fee of $20 together with a USCF ID number for each entrant. Do not mail cash, as we cannot be responsible if it is not received. Be sure your USCF membership is good to the tournament date. Personal contact information, such as an email address or phone number, will be required for notification of any problems. We have to make certain everything is in order, so other players at the site are not needlessly turned away. We post the number of preregistrants in the schedule further down on this page. The check and registration information must be mailed to McHenry Area Chess, P.O. Box 1574, Crystal Lake, IL 60039. Note that our old business cards do not have the correct address. That old PO box was down by the floor, and I got too old to bend that low to get the mail, so I changed it. Be sure to send mail only to the above address. This website only lists the current address. Preregistrations will be accepted in the order they are received. To be fair to others, who may base their plans on the number of preregistrants, there will be no refunds for cancellations allowed. So if you preregister, you are expected to come and play. In lieu of the $20 entry fee, those people who received free passes in June may mail in the signed card. Write your own note, or use this preregistration form.

We have been forced to remove the automatic contact form because of an excess of spam, hundreds of emails per day. To prevent this, we are providing a link that will bring up an email form, with our address spoofed by an X in front of our real email address. Simply remove this X to create our real email address, then send it to us. We apologize for the extra effort required, but that's life in the internet age. Send email to McHenry Area Chess
