          McHenry Area Chess      

                                Presents a rated chess tournament.

        When:        October 17, 2009

        Where:       Holiday Inn Hotel
                           495 Airport Road
                           Elgin, IL 60123        (847) 488-9000

        What:         A Swiss tournament
                             Four rounds of play
                           Game/60 time controls (55 min w 5 second delay)

    -       Registration:  8:30 – 9:25.  Round times are 9:30, 11:35, lunch, 2:30, and 4:35.
                                             Tournament ends by 6:35 PM.

    -       Entry Fee:      $20.  Players must be members of USCF.
                         Join or renew the USCF on site and receive a discount.

    -       Prizes:            Cash based on entries in each section. We will have only one section if
                       attendance is light, and then we give class and upset prizes. We normally
                       return between 2/3 and 3/4 of entry fees in prizes.
